The person erecting a taxpayer-funded wall around his house for “security” has his neighbors in a fury.

While President Biden continues to strongly oppose border walls on the southern U.S. border, the story of his wall takes an unexpected turn as work on his taxpayer-funded fortress surrounding his vacation home in Delaware gets underway.

Fox News got exclusive photographs that show the recent start of wall building around Biden’s Rehoboth Beach home. The cost of this safety precaution? A staggering $490,324 thanks to a government contract through the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and taxpayer funds.

The images show that Biden’s house is currently being equipped with strong gray stone pillars and formidable white fencing. At the front of the property are a large black iron gate and a gray stone half-wall.

The idea for the wall originated in 2021 when the Department of Homeland Security approved a contract to increase security at the presidential retreat. But as Fox News Digital revealed in August, the price has soared to almost $500,000, a $34,000 increase over the Turnstone Holdings LCC contract price.

September is when Biden’s home wall work is expected to be finished.

Biden’s promise to stop building border walls during the 2020 presidential campaign still has a lot of resonance. If he won the presidency, he promised the people that “not another foot” would be added. “There won’t be another foot of wall construction in my administration,” he declared. I’ll make sure there is strong border security, concentrating on using cutting-edge technology to solve problems. The ports of entry, which are frequently the sites of illegal activity, are critical locations for this strategy.”

As promised, Biden stopped building new border walls as soon as he took office in January 2021 and urged Congress to stop funding these projects. However, in response to Sen. Mark Kelly’s call for border fortification, the administration came under fire when it covertly approved the construction of a border wall segment in Yuma, Arizona, in July 2022.

Unexpectedly, the administration filed a lawsuit in December against Arizona, citing the state’s use of shipping containers for border wall construction and immigration control. The state was allegedly invading federal territory, according to the lawsuit.

Biden purposefully avoided going near parts of the border wall that former President Trump had either built or strengthened during his most recent border visit to El Paso, Texas. Rather, he chose to pay a visit to a portion of the wall that was already there.
