“A few years ago, my wife and I received a letter from Laurel, claiming to be her daughter, wanting to meet. I expected this since she told me she had given up a child for adoption as a child.

I was surprised to learn there was no adoption. She left the baby with the father and fled.”

“The worst part is that Laurel wrote my wife for help at 12. She wrote her the nastiest reply (I’ve read it) blaming her for her problems and threatening her to never contact her again and “ruining her family.”
