Amanda Sydney’s life was beginning to appear somewhat better. Australia-born Amanda had high hopes for 2017—a year full of greatness, love, and a promising future!
She and her spouse had been trying for a child for three long years when she finally became pregnant, and they had recently moved into their newly renovated home after more than two years of renovations.
Amanda was thriving; in fact, if she had tried, she couldn’t have been happier. Her life, as well as her aspirations and hopes, were about to be severely destroyed.
Her husband suddenly revealed to her that he wanted to leave and he did so without any hesitation, walking out the door! Amanda had no time to breathe because she was pregnant, alone, and had a mountain of bills!
With no money and a baby due soon, Amanda thought about her predicament alone. She was a total emotional mess and had no idea what the future held for her or her child. Fortunately, her friend Anna was by her side, offering emotional support. However, it was Anna who thought it would be a great idea to write to KIIS 1065, the local radio station, asking if they would consider featuring her in their “give back” segment.
After learning about Amanda’s situation, the radio station made the decision to get involved and offer support. They brought in local companies to create an incredible show because they realized that they would be difficult to assist on their own.
Amanda was unaware of what was going to happen when they invited her and Anna to the radio studios to record a segment. She explained to the radio hosts that the uncertainty surrounding the entire situation was the worst aspect.
Amanda stated:
“About five weeks have passed since it happened.” The biggest thing, I suppose, is simply the shock as it wasn’t really what I or we had planned.
After Amanda had finished her story, the radio host turned to face a television screen behind her, which displayed a tour of her new home via video. To her surprise, they emphasized what they had done to assist her!
The food in the refrigerator was a gift from Eat Fit Food, the vacuum cleaner was supposed to represent free house cleaning for the next six months, and the promise to provide daily meals for the following three months! There was $4,000 worth of baby stuff for her on the counter, along with a $1,000 gift card for newborn photos!
However, everyone lost it when they saw the oven on camera and the door was open!
A massive pile of cash was found inside the oven. $10,000 means Amanda won’t have to worry about her mortgage for a long time, isn’t that amazing?
With tears streaming down her face, Amanda managed to utter only one thing:
Thus, I’m not required to relocate right now.I truly cannot express how much I appreciate you.
Even though this isn’t the 2017 she had planned or even dreamed of, she and her child can now start over with such a wonderful start thanks to the kindness of strangers.
