A family takes out a camera to document the ingredients on every sandwich that McDonald’s uses.

A McDonald’s restaurant has been accused by the Council on American-Islamic Relations of purposefully adding bacon to a Muslim family’s meal (see the video below).

The family, who were traveling from New York, stopped at a McDonald’s in Decatur and ordered 14 sandwiches, according to AL.com.

They discovered the bacon while eating their dinner, which adherents of Islam are expressly forbidden from consuming.

“They noticed it tasted different to them,” stated Khaula Hadeed, the CAIR’s head for Alabama. “They frequently eat McDonald’s McChicken. They were aware of what they had ordered and the contents of the sandwich.”

Hadeed saw this as an obvious assault on the family.

Hadeed pronounced, “It doesn’t sound like a mistake, especially on 14 sandwiches,” characterizing the event as “an intentional act of religious and ethnic bigotry.”

Hadeed, who claims that one of the adults puked twice after, is now calling for an inquiry.

Regarding the family, “they’re basically disturbed about it,” she stated.

“McDonald’s should investigate this incident, identify and terminate the employees responsible, and take proactive steps to satisfy this American family’s concerns, starting with an apology.”

On social media, the incident’s news sparked heated discussion.

Some felt sympathy for the family and accepted the charges.

One AL.com reader wrote, “I’ve definitely seen ‘good Christians’ doing some nasty things to those who are different.” “I’m not sure what went wrong, but I can understand someone assembling the sandwiches in a way they knew would offend. The Muslim family said, “I tend to believe them, and think that some nasty fool put bacon in their sandwiches to embarrass and hurt someone who is ‘other.” “That’s UnAmerican, in my books.”

“Decatur is a hot bed of alt-right, religious fanatics who aren’t tolerant of anybody who doesn’t look like a Baptist,” said in a moment.

Some, on the other hand, were doubtful and less than empathetic.

“It’s a scam,” one person said, expressing agreement with those who claimed the family contrived the scandal for financial gain or public recognition. “They probably picked an Alabama McDonald’s because they figured it would draw more attention than say a McDonald’s in NYC.”

“Yeah, I don’t believe this was done by any McDonald’s employee,” wrote a further note. “I’d say 99% of the time, the people working in the back aren’t looking to see who their customers are.”
