There’s no way I want to give my stepsister my inheritance.

Family is always there for you, celebrating your wins and helping you get through tough times. They remind you that you are never really alone. But some people hide who they really are until they need something. People often say that the best times to get to know someone are when you work together, go on vacation together, or deal with money together.

This girl told everyone her story to find out what people thought about her actions.

“I just got an inheritance that is pretty big.” It has a farm with 80 acres of land and two separate houses on it, as well as some cash from my grandparents worth just over $750,000.

I’ve never been close to my stepsister. There was no family between us and she didn’t like my mom or me when my stepdad and my mom got together. She is having a hard time because she is a single mom with four kids. The cost of living and housing crises in our country are both getting worse. My stepsister and her family were just kicked out of their rental home for not paying the rent. At the moment, they are staying in a government-paid motel room in a pretty bad place.

“Because we’ve worked hard, my husband and I already own a nice three-bedroom apartment and are pretty financially stable, even without my inheritance.”

I gave my mom and stepdad the money to pay off their mortgage when I got my inheritance. They now own their home and have enough money to go on their dream vacation. As soon as my stepsister learned about the inheritance, she called me and being nice for five minutes asked about my husband, two kids, and other things. Then she asked when she would get her money and when they could move into the farm’s biggest house. I laughed for about five seconds before I told her I was just going to help the family. I put her on hold and hung up.

“A lot of people are calling me a selfish, spoiled brat now.” I believe she has always seen us as filth, and she doesn’t deserve anything good. Really sorry about the kids. I want to give each of them a small trust fund that they can only get to when they turn 18.

If you’re wondering, the inheritance came from my dad’s parents, who have died. I haven’t talked to them much, so it came as a huge surprise. I really understand what it’s like to not have much as a child.
