Amanda’s life took a sudden turn a few months after she moved to a new state. She moved because she thought her husband was moving for a new job, but she soon found out something shocking. For a long time, her husband had been keeping a big secret from her. Amanda told her story even though she was upset and didn’t know what to do next.

Two months ago, my husband told me something very important. “Honey, I got a promotion at work, and I have to move two states away.” “We need to get ready to move right away,” he said. We were shocked by this news. Even though I knew he had to travel a lot for work, I never thought we’d have to move to a different state so quickly.

Even though things changed quickly, I was still happy for him. He seemed excited about his new job. We didn’t have a hard time with this change because I’m a stay-at-home mom. We only had to get our two kids into new schools, which wasn’t hard.

We got used to our new life over time. The kids liked their new school, and the area was nice. We had more space in our new home, and I even started taking yoga classes, where I met some new people.

My world fell apart one day when everything was going well. He got into the car and started crying when I picked up my 6-year-old from school. “Ryan, sweetheart, what’s wrong?”

He said, “Mommy, please don’t let Miss Foster be my mommy,” but his voice was shaking. I don’t want her to be my mom instead of you.

The young woman in her 20s who taught him art was Miss Foster, and I knew her. I didn’t understand why Ryan was so mad. Then he told me that when he was dropped off at school that morning, he saw his dad talking to Miss Foster. Ryan saw his dad hold her hand and give her a hug.

I talked to my husband about it when we got home. He finally broke down and told the truth after hours of denying it. He told her that he had been seeing Miss Foster for years when he came to this area for work. She told him a few months ago that she was going to have his child. He couldn’t think of a better way to get to his unborn child, so he decided we should move.

He felt bad about saying that he was going to live two lives because he didn’t know what else to do. It made no sense to me why he did that since we were always happy together and I gave him everything he wanted. I couldn’t forgive him even though he begged me to forgive him.
